20 volunteers from PARKnSHOP joined a Beach Clean-up Day on 7 May, where they, along with their friends and relatives, helped collect trash off the beaches of Lung Kwu Tan and Tuen Mun and sorted them for further treatment. Prizes were awarded for the most amount of trash collected, the most amount of recyclable trash collected as well as the weirdest garbage collected. In just one day, nearly 85kg of trash and over 47kg of recyclable waste were picked up.
