AS Watson Group Hong Kong Student Sports Awards (HKSSA) has played a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of athletic talent in Hong Kong. Shek Wai-hung, one of its past awardees, was inspired by HKSSA to pursue his sports dream.
AS Watson Group has a long-standing commitment to supporting and nurturing young athletes. 30 awardees of the AS Watson Group Hong Kong Student Sports Awards 2023-2024 participated in a five-day sports exchange tour in South Korea. They visited esteemed institutions like the Korea National Sports University, the Jincheon National Training Center, and the Kukkiwon, allowing them to learn from local athletes and experience firsthand the national sport of Korea - Taekwondo.
AS Watson has gathered its People Teams' leaders together in Guangzhou and Hong Kong for a 3-day Global People Summit. The summit aims to create a sense of community where participants can openly discuss topics and identify best practice solutions, maximising their impact as a Global People team when facing challenges and turning insights into practical actions. The summit also explored the Mainland China market and took lessons for all business units on what could be on the horizon.
AS Watson Group announces its first collaboration with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and has donated HKD1 million to establish a scholarship programme, recognising students who have outstanding performance in the areas of academics, extracurriculars, and leadership. The first AS Watson Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was successfully held, commending ten outstanding students and encouraging them to continue to develop their talents and become future leaders.
