As International Women's Day approaches, AS Watson, the world's largest international health and beauty retailer, proudly announces that it’s the first health and beauty retailer to be a signatory of the Women's Empowerment Principles, a global movement under UN Women (United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment) dedicated to advancing gender equity and women's empowerment. In support of this movement, AS Watson strengthens its commitment to fostering a workplace, marketplace, and community that promotes inclusivity and opportunities for women.

AS Watson Group today announced the appointment of Ms Freda Ng as the Managing Director of PARKnSHOP (Hong Kong & Macau), succeeding Mr Norman Yum who has made the decision to retire and will be appointed as Business Advisor.
Ms Ng joined AS Watson Group (ASW) in 2010 in a business planning role, and joined PARKnSHOP as Chief Operating Officer in 2023. Prior to her appointment in PARKnSHOP, she was the Chief Digital Officer of Watsons International and the Chief Customer & Digital Officer of Watsons Hong Kong.
AS Watson Group and the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the academic and career development of HSUHK students by providing scholarships, internships, an early careers programme, and for the first time, AS Watson Group will offer a “store manager for a day” experience to local university students. The collaboration will also offer opportunities for joint applied research projects.
This is the first time AS Watson Group is signing a comprehensive MoU to partner with a local university. The collaboration will realise the potential of the new generation, help students apply theory and knowledge in practical work environments, and cultivate more management talent for the retail industry.
AS Watson Group organised the Project LOL Elderly Visit today, with the great support of 1,200 volunteers from the business units within the Group, alongside 56 business partners, aiming to visit and provide companionship to more than 2,000 elderly in the city. It's our honour to invite Charmaine Lee, JP, Director of Social Welfare, to join us and give opening remarks at the kick-off ceremony.
During the ceremony, Dominic Lai, Group Managing Director of AS Watson, expressed his gratitude to all the volunteers, “It is with great pride that we resume this meaningful large-scale elderly visit event after a three-year hiatus, and we are delighted to collaborate with our suppliers and colleagues again in serving the elderly within our community, bringing love and warmth to them.”
