Watsons Hong Kong and Fortress have been supporting Operation Smile for many years to bring smiles and renew hope to children born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Apart from placing donation box at all stores to raise fund annually, the teams regularly launch donation drives to engage customers and suppliers alike. In addition, ProPectin will donate HK$50 to Operation Smile for every purchase of ProPectin Apple Pectin 30 sachets at Watsons Hong Kong stores.
Fortress and homeware brand Camel joined hands to launch a series of special edition thermal flasks dubbed “The Colours of Life”, with five colourful designs that capture positive messaging around Life, Happiness, Love, Success and Hope. For every five thermal flasks sold, Fortress donated one vacuum flask and HK$30 to the Association of Hong Kong Nursing Staff to cheer our medical workers on.

Fortress joined hands with Evangelical Lutheran Church Hong Kong and ran the Student Mentorship Programme for six consecutive years. Nearly 20 students from Po Chiu Catholic Secondary School participated this year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was the first time for Fortress to conduct the programme online. The team introduced the brand story of Fortress and shared job interview skills. The students also had the opportunity to experience smart products from TechLife by Fortress and created a promotional video to learn and foster their interest in the electronic retail industry.
Fortress collaborated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church Hong Kong for the fifth year to bring about its Student Mentorship Programme. This year, 17 students from Yuen Long Catholic Secondary School participated in the 5-day summer placement in Fortress stores to experience the operation and learn practical knowledge of the retail industry. They were also taught about sales techniques, customer service and interview skills. In just a few days, students have more ideas for the coming challenges in their career.
