AS Watson Group (ASW) launched its first-ever Global Smile Campaign in its 10,000+ store network in Asia and Europe, to uplift and promote customer service with a human touch in its businesses. The Campaign kicked off on 18 June by its 100,000 employees across 25 markets at 5pm Hong Kong time (CET 11 a.m. ) to ”welcome customers with 100,000 smiles”, giving them a pleasant shopping experience.
2014 marks the 25th anniversary of Watsons China. To celebrate this special milestone, Watsons China jointly staged a celebration ceremony cum charity sale at Zhengjia Plaza in Guangzhou with its major suppliers on 27 May. As part of the commemorative event, a charitable art exhibition showcasing the artworks of four renowned local illustrators and artists was held, which portrayed the beautiful moments of Chinese female customers, while demonstrating the brand’s stories and its continuous dedication to the beauty and wellbeing of women on Mainland for the past 25 years. During the ceremony, Watsons China and its 25 major suppliers presented the donation cheque to the representatives of Sowers Action with an aim to support their education assistance project in rural area in Guizhou Province. In the meantime, a make-up pouch charity sale kiosk was also launched to raise fund for Sowers Action.

Q&A Research surveyed 13,000 shoppers in the country to gain an insight into which chain store are the most distinctive and ready for the future. Kruidvat has achieved a high score in several aspects including customers’ activeness on the Internet, attractiveness of stores, distinctiveness in the marketplace, and indispensability.
Savers takes the crown and is voted as the UK’s Best Personal Care Retailer in the Verdict Customer Satisfaction Awards 2014 held today at the London Stock Exchange. This annual award is to recognize those retailers knows its consumers well and meets their needs consistently. The poll conducted by Verdict Research in March 2014 invited over 6,000 shoppers across the nation to rate retailers on a number of key criteria: range, price, convenience, service, facilities, ambience, quality and layout. Savers’ exceptional performance scored highly in the poll and came top in personal care sector.
AS Watson Group (ASW) website garnered the Silver Award in “Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme” for 2nd year running, and the Group’s “HK Students Sports Awards” website has also won the silver award for the first time this year. As a joint initiative of the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Equal Opportunities Commission of Hong Kong, the scheme aims to encourage accessible web design amongst enterprises and organisations in various sectors and to recognise for their dedication and achievements in adopting barrier-free web design. ASW is the only Health & Beauty retail company which is awarded in the scheme by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.
