AS Watson announces that the transition mission following the acquisition of Marionnaud by the AS Watson Group now being completed, Hugues Witvoet, CEO of the Luxury Division, is leaving the Group to meet other professional challenges. AS Watson would like to thank Mr Witvoet for the work carried out on the operational and strategic projects, particularly the restructuring of logistics, modernisation of the information systems and development of the new concept store for Marionnaud recently presented with success.

The Kate Moss effect is a known phenomenon in the fashion industry, now Superdrug is the latest retailer to see the Moss magic create serious sales growth for a brand, after widespread coverage of the model with a Superdrug charity tote bag earlier this year. Superdrug launched its fashion brand, True Spirit, in 2005. In the 18 months since the launch, with a range of trends led jewellery, the range has diversified and grown into a G10m business. This growth is forecast to continue with the business being worth over G26m by the end of 2007.

The AS Watson Group in the UK today 25 September 2006 announces that it has promoted Euan Sutherland to the position of Chief Executive Officer of AS Watson (Health & Beauty) UK. Euan will continue to manage Superdrug and will take on additional responsibility for Savers in the UK reporting directly to AS Watson's Group Managing Director, Ian Wade.
