Since 2012, PARKnSHOP Hong Kong has pioneered work among Hong Kong supermarkets to reduce food waste by putting edible surplus produce to good use, launching the territory’s first surplus-food donation programme. So far, around 600 tons of food has been donated, which has helped Food Angel make more than 1.7 million hot-meal boxes for the needy.
