AS Watson Group (ASW) announces the appointment of Toby Anderson as Chief Executive Officer, Health & Beauty Asia & Eastern Europe, effective from 1 December 2016.
Toby joined ASW in 2005 as Managing Director of Watsons Thailand, and subsequently promoted to the Managing Director of Watsons Taiwan in 2012, during which he was also the Marketing Director of Watsons brand in Asia. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Health & Beauty Asia in February 2016 before his recent appointment to take up additional portfolio in Eastern Europe. In his new role, he is responsible for a network of over 2,900 retail stores under the Watsons brand in the markets including Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Türkiye and Ukraine; Drogas in Latvia.
Prior to joining AS Watson Group, Toby worked for J. Sainsbury, the second largest grocery retailer in the UK. Toby graduated from Birmingham University with an honours degree in Commerce, and has studied executive education at Harvard Business School, London Business School, Ashridge and Cranfield.
