AS Watson Group and PARKnSHOP Hong Kong have been awarded Inclusive Organization Logo for Employer Organization under the 2013-2014 Talent-Wise Employment Charter and Inclusive Organizations Recognition Scheme which is organized by the Labour and Welfare Bureau of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and the Hong Kong Joint Council for People with Disabilities. The award recognizes our efforts in enhancing the employment opportunities of persons with disabilities as well as building a barrier-free and inclusive workplace.
AS Watson Group (ASW) website garnered the Silver Award in “Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme” for 2nd year running, and the Group’s “HK Students Sports Awards” website has also won the silver award for the first time this year. As a joint initiative of the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Equal Opportunities Commission of Hong Kong, the scheme aims to encourage accessible web design amongst enterprises and organisations in various sectors and to recognise for their dedication and achievements in adopting barrier-free web design. ASW is the only Health & Beauty retail company which is awarded in the scheme by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.

In celebration of the grand opening of its 1,500th store in Mainland China, Watsons organized a charity fun run in Guangzhou on 20 July to mark this joyous occasion with a note of care to the community. This charitable run aimed to raise fund for Sowers Action, while arousing public awareness on the needs of children in rural regions of Mainland China and spreading positive energy to the society.
