The scale of Watsons China’s Give a smile campaign was remarkable. Videos and H5 game were developed to raise awareness on cleft issue and a series of online and offline activities were held to drive donation to Operation Smile. Customers could donate their loyalty points to redeem Smile badges. Volunteers from Watsons China were active to participate in the Give a Smile medical missions to reach out to the cleft patients and their families.

Watsons Water has sponsored quality bottled water throughout the Operation Smile missions in China since 2018. The provision of safe drinking water is essential for the medical volunteer and non-medical volunteer to provide professional service to the children with cleft lips and palates.

To support Give a Smile campaign, Watsons Water donated HKD1 to Operation Smile for each plastic bottle recycled in the Green Point Smart Water Bottle Reverse Vending Machine. Also, “Drop of Fun” members were encouraged to donate their reward points to Operation Smile to support the good cause.

Watson’s Wine collaborated with Operation Smile to give bright smile to cleft patients. To celebrate International Day of Happiness, Watson’s Wine donated 5% of sales to support “Give a Smile” campaign for every bottle of Champagne sold.

Upon customer purchase own brand electronics and home appliances, Fortress donated equivalent value of Moneyback Points to Operation Smile to support Give a Smile campaign to help children with cleft lips and palates around the world.

Watsons Hong Kong has developed Give a Smile Special Edition tissue box to raise awareness about cleft condition. For every purchase of the tissue box, Watsons Hong Kong donated HK$2 to Operation Smile to fund the smile recovery surgery. Also, customers could donate any amount to the donation boxes at till.

Colleagues from Watsons Hong Kong teamed up with Operation Smile medical volunteers to take different roles in Give a Smile medical mission.

PARKnSHOP partnered with Colgate to support Give a Smile campaign. For each Own Brand “Select” and Colgate oral care product sold, PARKnSHOP and Colgate donated 5 times Moneyback Points to Operation Smile. Donation boxes were available at every PARKnSHOP store to encourage customers to give smile to the children with cleft conditions.

Volunteers from PARKnSHOP participated in Give a Smile medical mission to help the cleft children regain smiles and confidence.

Apart from placing donation box at all stores to raise fund annually, the teams regularly launch donation drives to engage customers and suppliers alike. Customers can earn double Moneyback Points when purchasing Fortress brand products and Fortress will donate half of the points on behalf of customers to Operation Smile. In addition, ProPectin will donate HK$50 to Operation Smile for every purchase of ProPectin Apple Pectin 30 sachets at Watsons Hong Kong stores.
