Watsons Hong Kong has collaborated with Colgate to launch the first toothpaste tube take-back programme, "Small Acts - Big Smiles." This programme aims to collect toothpaste tubes from any brand for recycling, transforming them into valuable resources. Recyclable components will be converted into stationery for underprivileged children, while non-recyclables will be repurposed into building materials, making a positive impact on the environment.

The four-day Watsons Athletic Club Annual Challenge was successfully held at the Wan Chai Sports Ground, attracting over 6,500 participants across 22 different competitive events. Since its establishment 35 years ago, Watsons Athletic Club has been dedicated to encouraging young people to actively engage in track and field activities, promoting sports development and youth engagement.

Established by AS Watson Group in 1989, Watsons Athletic Club has been a steadfast advocate for local youth engagement in track and field activities, acting as a trailblazer in corporate support for sports development. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Watsons Athletic Club, its signature event - the WAC Annual Challenge commenced at Wan Chai Sports Ground on September 28-29 and with upcoming events scheduled on October 5-6. The event has drawn over 6,500 participants joining with the youngest participant aged at 5 years old, recorded a full complement of entries for the 5th year.

To support the “IncluSEN Community Day” organised by the InspiringHK Sports Foundation, Watsons Hong Kong Health Professional Team participated to enhance public understanding of children with special educational needs (SEN). Watsons’ passionate registered dietitians and Chinese medicine practitioners brought energy and expertise to the event. They delivered engaging health talks that shared tips on acupressure and nutritional diets for children. Additionally, the team created fun, interactive health games that made learning enjoyable for everyone.

Watsons Hong Kong, in partnership with Junior Chamber International Tai Ping Shan, successfully concluded the Medicines Disposal Programme on 30 June. The initiative involved collecting unused medicines at nearly 60 pharmacies across Hong Kong and placing medication disposal boxes in back office to engage colleagues. The Watsons’ pharmacists team analysed the collected medicines, providing valuable insights for improving medication disposal services in Hong Kong and exploring opportunities for expansion.
