The women of today juggle a myriad of roles in the family and workplace. As a working mother with two children, it’s not easy to balance taking on a lead role in the workplace while juggling the demands of motherhood. But I’m so lucky that I’m working in a family-friendly company that enables me to strike a balance between work and my home.
IT was traditionally a male dominated field but it’s not the case anymore. More and more women are taking senior role in the IT sector. I work as Head of Corporate Systems at AS Watson Group, helping to drive transformation by leveraging on technology together with business knowhow.
Working in the retail sector of IT is particularly exciting and challenging because of the evolution of the industry along its offline and online operations, especially during the pandemic. AS Watson Group is the pioneer in O+O and I’m proud that I could be a part of it and be able to contribute to putting a smile on our customers’ faces.
It’s also a company that embraces diversity so well and as a manager, I hope to foster a culture where everyone can have pleasant and inclusive working environment, able to be themselves and to build a great career path.
