It was definitely a valuable experience to have a chance to become the revere mentor of our People Head, as part of the YSpeakZ Programme of Watsons Philippines. With an aim to improve the digital capabilities of the company, I got the chance to share and exchange fresh ideas with our People Head and contributed my knowledge about digital and the latest communication tools to help accelerate the innovation and digitalization within the People Department.
This Reverse Mentoring programme allowed young colleagues like me to get involved in the key management planning projects relating to O+O (online and offline) development and digital transformation. I gained more confidence to work with various levels in the organization, and my mentoring experience have also strengthened my strategic thinking which I’m able to bring back to work.
