Superdrug breaks into top five of the UK's favourite retailers
Superdrug is celebrating today as Verdict Research's latest customer poll of 6,000 consumers places the retailer in fourth overall and first in the health and beauty market. This is compared to last year's performance where Superdrug placed at 41 overall.
Verdict's Consumer Satisfaction Index looks at all areas of the shopping experience and this is the first time that Superdrug has been named as one of the nation's top retailers in the index; John Lewis, Waitrose, Ikea and Amazon complete the top five. Superdrug, part of the AS Watson Group, operates more than 900 stores in UK and Republic of Ireland.
Jeremy Seigal, CEO AS Watson UK collected the award and commented, "We know how important customer service is at the best of times, and on today's high street it's vital that retailers can add something extra. Our own Retail Academy training focuses heavily on ensuring our colleagues can give customers the service they expect in our stores. After so much hard work by our store teams over the last few years this is a resounding vote of approval. Our focus now is to ensure that we keep these high levels of service and we'll be looking to challenge the retailers above us in the year to come."
Neil Saunders, director of consulting at Verdict commented, "Superdrug scored highly across a whole range of factors including price, range and service to gain the fourth place in our survey and first place in Personal Care. This is a great performance and a testament to the hard work of those involved."
